Please read and follow these guidelines when blogging!
- Short posts are fine, but please try to avoid
making one-line blog posts: please try to make each post at least a
paragraph long. Obviously there’s some leeway with this: if you
have a really great picture you want to share and all you want to
write is a one-line caption underneath it, or if you have just
bought something new and just want to write a few lines about it
with a couple of small pictures, posts like that are fine, but use
your discretion. What we want to avoid are posts that just say
things like “Check out the new arrivals at my site!” and then give a
URL link with no further information at all.
- Using the blogs to
blog about your own products or services as an advertising tool is
fine, but as above, please don’t just post one sentence and a link
to your site. If all you want is to have a link from Wings900 to
your site, put up a free listing in the link section, add your
homepage link to your profile and/or contact HobbyAdSales about buying a
banner ad. If you want to use the blogs to advertise, please take
the time to create a post describing your item/items and add
pictures etc, or use a pre-prepared press release or similar text.
That way, it will be both enjoyable for users to read and a better
marketing tool for you.
- If you already have a
blog elsewhere, and would like it to appear on Wings900,
please let us know and if it is suitable, we can syndicate it for
you. Please don’t post one-line descriptions and links to your offsite
blog posts – it’s much better to have it syndicated as the entire
content will then appear on Wings900 automatically and any
comments made will be sent directly to you.
Please help to make Wings900 a fun and informative site by respecting these rules. If posts
are made that break the above rules, one of the moderator team members will let the poster know
via PM and suggest what needs to be done to fix the entry. If this is
then not done within a couple of days, the entry will be unpublished
until amendments are made.
