Creating a collection

The first thing you need to do when you start DiecastAdmin for the first time, is  create a collection.  You can do this by clicking on the leftmost button on the toolbar, the button with a rising yellow sun on it and the word "New".

In the popup screen you can choose a name for your collection and select "standard" settings. You can set the start date of your collection to any date you want. 

You can set the starting date to the date you started collecting. If you add models, set them to the date you bought them (the program counts per month, so you don´t have to remember the exact date, only month and year). This gives realistic charts of your collection, about the growth and spendings over the months/years.

Next, click "Create" to create the collection.

Adding new models

You can enter new models immediatly by hand or connect to the Wings900-database to import models. When connecting to Wings900, you need to have the production number of your model or the Wings900-ID to import from Wings900. See the Help-file if you have any questions about adding models to the database.

*Note that if you want to import a dca-file, you do not have to create a collection first. DCAImport can create the collection for you during import. See the Help-file.

Working with DiecastAdmin

It is recommended to read the Help-file before you use DiecastAdmin, it will save YOU a lot of trouble and ME a lot of unnecessary questions.
