We were at the Wings Börse DUS on Saturday May 17th and we were very happy to see all of the memebers and collectors who dropped by to see us and chat - Dutch Dave, Lollomz, British Airways, Silverbird, Ferihegy, Digital, mmu69 among others were all present and spent the day buying selling and trading models.
In case you are not familiar with the show, the Wings Börse DUS is Europe's premium models only show. there are two shows a year - May and October. The next show is October 18th and we will be there. For more information and pictures of the show, please visit the site.
We had a great show and lousy weather - but that helped as what else is there to do on a rainy Saturday?
Some of the highlights of the show were:
Wings900 presented Herpa with a Gold Medal for their outstanding 1:500 scale Condor 757 Rizzi Bird.
In case you haven't seen it or would like to get more information - you can check out Herpa's new HerpaTV report on the model and the real airplane here.
Lollomz bought his first 1:200 scale model and showed off some of his creations
CB Customs was at the show with a spectacular display of his custom models
Herpa was there showing off some of the upcoming models and had a few samples on display as well. you can check some of them out here.
Gert Rosias was the happy winner of our free model giveaway. He won a 1:200 scale Herpa Lufthansa A330!
So a big thank you to all of you who came to see us and see you in October!

Well, it is Spring and the Wings900 team has finally come out of hibernation.... Or almost as we are busy behind the scenes keeping the Wings900 family THE reference when it comes to independent diecast aircraft collectors sites.
Flight Director has been very busy moving the sites to new, more powerful servers where we now have more speed and space for all our model STUFF. He is also busy updating everything under the sun and making sure we are here when you log in.
Waffle has been busy digging up collections and offering them to our members first before putting them on eBay. With an acute nose for good deals, you have to be HERE in order to take advantage of them. The latest find is simply huge and will make very many collectors happy. His DB team (including British Airways and Faucett Peru) have been keeping the model database as up-to-date as possible.
N1786B has been busy surfing and hunting down airline and manufacturer logos. Have you seen the number of logos available lately? We have added over 300 so far this year and are about to reach 5,000 logos! He has also been active helping users and newbies use the Wings900 family of web sites.
We will also be at the May 17th DUS Wings Börse in Düsseldorf Germany. So if you can, come by and see us!
AirlineMuseum.com is having a March Madness Giveaway! During a recent cleaning of the warehouse we found some items we didn't know we had. Some of these models were long ago discontinued, others were single Herpa Wings Club models, so instead of just putting them on the website, we decided to offer them as part of a special giveaway! All you have to do is place an order anytime during the month of March and you will be automatically entered into the drawing. Each order you place counts as an entry, so the more you order, the better your chances! At the end of March, we will randomly draw five names and each of the winners will receive one of the prize models. The drawing will be completed and winners notified the first week of April. Good luck to all.
Here are the prize models:
StarJets 1:500 Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 - This model was discontinued about four years ago, and is one of a very few 1:500 scale Virgin Atlantic models. The value of this model has been reported as high as $60.00.
